Puerto Piritu Island

Puerto Pirutu Islets - Las Isletas de Puerto Piritu

A Holiday Trip in the beautifull beaches of Venezuela. The islets are located near Anzoategui State. The only way to get there is by boat, a 45 min trip from Puerto Pirutu Bay.

The Islets are a clear example of Caribbean Beaches: crystal water, white sands and blue sky. A paradise. You can camp in the islets without any problem, just remember to bring everything you will be needing, since the islents doesn't have anything but clear blue sky, sand and ocean water. You could always pay the boat rentals to bring stuff from Puerto Pirutu (ice, water, cigarrettes, among other things)

Natural Mud Bath

One of the most amazing spots in the Islets is the "Natural Mud Bath". A small place with sulfiric sand. If you ever go to the Islets, you cannot miss it.

Directions: Walk towards the lighthouse (about 15 min), you will find a path (right side) in the middle of the grass leading toward the Mud Bath. Or ask the martian like people comming from there (you will see more of this ahead)

Accenture QCenter

Accenture QCenter

These are the photos of the Q Center facilities, located in Saint Charles, Illinois. This photos were taken during my Core Consultant Course in April of this Year. The Q Center is dedicated to providing premier learning and meeting facilities, equipped for total productivity and supported by a quality-focused team. Technical resources, conference services and facilities remain their focus. More than ordinary conference center facilities, Q Center is a conference complex. With a variety of meeting solutions and packages, this contemporary conference commons provides the full range of meeting services in a park-like setting.

My journey begins in Venezuela, on Saturday April 01. I traveled from Maiquetia Simón Bolívar Airpot to Houston International Airport, a 4 hour flight. Houston's Airport is amazinling big. It has a lot of mini-stores, libraries, CD's Store, Food Stores, iPod Gadget Stores, among others. I had to walk about 30 minutes to go from gate A12 to E8, it was great workout though.

In one of the airport windows you could see the Houston Marriot Hotel Located in the airport itself. After a 2 hour wait, I departed towards Chicago O'Hare Airport, a 2 hour flight. From there I took a limousine service to Saint Charles, however since I was alone a Lincoln Taxi Driver was asigned to me .

After 45 minutes taxi drive I arrived to Saint Charles Q Center Facilities. Upon checking in at the lobby and getting my room asigned, number C243, I tried to located my home-to-be for the next week. It was located far away from the lobby (10 min walk). And for my surprise it was smaller that I could imagine.

It was late at night, the dinning room was closed and the weather was not great, so I decided to go to bed and hope for the weather to improve on Sunday. The next morning I had an excelent breakfast at the dinning room (it had great food all the week long - congratulations to the chefs). After that I decided to go to the Charlestown Mall to see the sourronding areas. I tried to go downtown but the weather didn't improved at all. In the morning news the weather guy told that the night before orange sized hail falled down in Illinois State near Chicago.

Sunday Afternoon I took this photos of the Qcenter for memory of my journey.

Since I'm always striving to improve my night photo technique, I took this serie of photos of the Q Center Facilities on thursday Night right before Night Fall. The weather improved tremendously that night. I was a cold night but great colors were in the sky. I couldn't get here earlier becouse of the course however I hope you enjoy them.

The Core Consultant Course was good, I meet a lot of people from all over the world. My working group was a mix of consultants from Chicago, Atlanta, Mexico, New York and myself from Venezuela. It was the best working group in the section. The faculties (teachers) were from Italy and Ireland. We had a great time during the week, lots of work but also lot of laughs. After the course was done Friday april 07 , I went to Chicago to spend the weekend with friends from my hometown University (Universidad Simón Bolivar). You can find the photos of that here Chicago Greatest Landscapes and the trip here The Windy City
